Smt. Smita Uday Wagh

Smt. Smita Uday Wagh, a senior Hindustani Vocalist is a Graded artist of Akashavani, Mumbai. She is the disciple of Pt.Arun Kashalkar and Late Pt. Babanrao Haldankar and follows Gwalior and Agra Gharana gayaki style. She has completed her Sangeet Visharad and Sangeet Alankar from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya, Mumbai and M.A Music from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. She is the recipient of Pt. Shankarrao Vyas Puraska and has given various performances both within India and US. She conducts various music workshops and has been appointed as an examiner by Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya. She has been delegated to promote Indian Classical and Semi-classical Music as a scholar in residence in Bangkok,Thailand under the patronage of the Indian Embassy & ICCR, Indian Women’s Club. Apart from Classical music, she also teaches Marathi Abhangs and Bhavgeets.
